In a beautiful village in the heart of
Snowdonia National Park, Anna Davies sells a wide range
of country wear and accessories, home and
lifestyle items, gifts, souvenirs and jewellery. The shop
was established in 1956 by Anna Davies and it is
now owned and run by her daughter Sara and
son-in-law Peter. The ground floor is stocked with a wide
range of clothing for ladies, gentlemen and
children, including outdoor wear, Welsh sheepskin,
footwear, hand-knitted garments and accessories. Among
the well-known brands are Barbour, Pringle,
Bianca, Trespass, Seeland, Schneiders, Ecco and
Radley Tula handbags.
On the first floor are Moorcroft and
Portmeirion pottery, top-quality ceramics and glass and
Clogai Gold, mined deep in the heart of Snowdonia
in difficult-to-located veins and therefore very rare _ and very desirable. Shop hours are 9 to
6 every day (9 to 5.30 in winter) and most of the goods on display are available by mail
order through the excellent website. The distinctive building has many unusual features, including
a waterfall that runs from the newest section under the shop and out into the river across
the road.
