The Bywater Restaurant
Lower Market Street, East Looe, Cornwall PL13 1AX
Tel: 01503 262314
Occupying a charming ivy-covered 17th century cottage in
a narrow lane between the beach and the quay, The
Bywater Restaurant is a relaxing yet stylish place in which to
enjoy contemporary home-cooked food based on locally
sourced, seasonal produce. The menus evolve on a daily basis,
making the most of what is
fresh and in season that day. Fish
is bought directly from the quay and a nearby farm at
Trewidland provides the traditionally reared meat for dishes such
as Lowertown Farm fillet served with Cornish blue cheese
& potato cake, wilted spinach and forest mushroom sauce.
All the food, including bread, pasta and desserts, are
hand-made and each meal is freshly prepared to order, just ask
if there are any alterations to the menu you would like.
To accompany your meal, there's a good choice of wines,
ciders and ales. With seating for just 20 people, The
Bywater combines 17th century old world charm with clean
modern lines. The restaurant is open from 6.30pm, Wednesday
to Sunday.
