Butterfly Quilters offer the opportunity to explore the mystery
of patchwork, to create your own family heirloom and at the same
time make new friends. Teaching is an important part of Carole
Sedgley's business, with small informal workshops available
for beginners, intermediate and experienced quilters. In
the workshops the instructors focus on old as well as
new techniques and students have the choice of working
either by hand or machine. Carole has had students arrive
without any sewing experience and go on to create their
own
family heirloom. Butterfly Quilters take great pride in
stimulating their students to draw on their own artistic creativity
to produce beautiful quilts, handbags, clothing and
seasonal projects.
The Studio stocks a range of fabrics from Moda,
Red Rooster, Clothworks, JR, Hoffman and many other
popular American manufacturers. The showroom also contains a great selection of notions,
gifts, quilting kits and patterns, and accessories such as bag handles, mini-irons for pressing
seams etc., clover thread cutter pendants, needle threaders and much, much more. The Studio
also offers a Long Arm machine quilting service with a range of designs to chose from for
people who love to make the quilt tops but do not have the time to quilt.
