This exciting new contemporary art gallery opened
in April 2006 in the centre of historic Modbury,
South Devon. The Brownston Gallery offers original,
high quality, bold contemporary paintings and
wall-hung work in all media, and other new work
including sculpture, designer jewellery, ceramics
and glassware.
A programme of mixed and solo exhibitions throughout the year features a wide range
of local, regional and nationally-renowned
artists. Original work from leading artists has already included acclaimed Devon-based Kathy
Ramsay Carr's contemporary landscapes; Welsh Artist
of the Year award-winner Adrian Green's vibrant
city interpretations; internationally-renowned
Mike Bell's stunning mixed media Northumberland landscapes; local sculptor David
Commander's beautiful pieces; and striking oil paintings
from emerging Manchester artist Barry Spence.
With a changing programme _ and exciting exclusive exhibitions _ in our stunning 1300
sq ft gallery, there is outstanding work to be enjoyed all year round.
