A private museum that was the result of one man's lifetime of collecting anything relating to World War II, Cobbaton Combat Collection has two hangars that house over 50 mainly British vehicles, including fully equipped tanks, all displayed in combat condition. Along with hardware, from mortar shells and machine guns to ration books and gas masks, visitors can find refreshment at the NAAFI canteen truck whilst, outside in the children's play area, there is a Sherman tank. Open daily from April to October and weekdays in the winter.
