Robert and Lorraine Coles opened Church House Designs in 1986 as a showcase for Robert's bespoke furniture. Since then it has expanded into a contemporary craft gallery with an established reputation for high quality imaginative work across the spectrum of the crafts with particular emphasis on ceramics, glassware, jewellery, wood and textiles.

Reflecting the rural environment, the gallery always exhibits many animal and figurative sculptures including dogs, horses, otters, birds and hares.

Church House Designs has been selected for quality by the Crafts Council of Great Britain and is a member of the Independent Craft Galleries Association. A high spot of the gallery's year is it's lively and varied annual exhibition, which features nationally acclaimed artists. There is always an extensive display of exciting work on show by well established and up and coming artists.
