In 2003 the father and daughter team of Kerr and
Flo Dunlop established Chocolate on Chocolate
to produce top quality hand-crafted chocolates
in innovative forms. Both of them are creative
designers and their imaginative use of this unusual
medium quickly attracted an appreciative clientele
through their website and mail order service. Their
chocolates are also sold in major retail outlets such as
Harrods and John Lewis. They have now opened a shop
right next to their factory so that visitors  can see
the chocolates actually being made before browsing around the huge variety of confectionery on display
_ at the last count there were more than 300
different designs to choose from.
The chocolates are made with the finest Belgian Callebaut chocolate. "The dark contains
53% chocolate," says Kerr, "and though this may
seem fairly low, it is a delightful and manageable
taste without the bitterness you would get from, say,
a 70% dark chocolate. The white version contains
28% and is yummy!" The chocolates are available in gift boxes and there are always special
seasonal specials at Christmas and Easter, for example, when there's a great choice of Easter
eggs, ducks and bunnies. |
