Description:
|
Ashwood is a traditional working nursery
situated in the lovely South Staffordshire
countryside, adjacent to the Staffordshire and
Worcestershire canal. The nursery produces a large proportion
of the plants you will find on sale in the
beautifully maintained retail areas. They include an
impressive selection of shrubs, trees, fruit, roses,
climbing plants, herbaceous perennials, alpines and
heathers. You will probably also be tempted by the
extensive range of indoor plants, seasonal bedding and
patio plants.
The nurseries are internationally famous for
their speciality crops which are raised on the nursery.
The hellebores are regarded as being some of the
finest strains ever produced, attracting gardeners
and growers from all over the world. Hardy
cyclamen, lewisias, hepaticas, primula auricula and
hydrangeas are important crops, both for seed and
plant production. Also on site are a well-stocked
garden shop, a quality gift shop and a delightful tea
room. Everything in fact, to make a perfect day out.
