The warm, friendly atmosphere created by tenants Pam and Simon Rodger and their staff ensure
that The Bugle Inn is equally popular with local residents and the many
tourists who visit this lovely part of the world every year. In the cosy, snug
interior a snack menu is served from as early as 8 o'clock in the morning, ideal
for those needing something sustaining before a day's exploring.
The main menu takes over at 11 and runs right through to 9 in the evening, providing
everything from pies and pasties to meat or vegetarian
lasagne, chicken curry, steaks, hearty casseroles and
always-in-demand seafood specials. Three or four
real ales are on tap, usually including Tribute and Dartmoor.
Very much at the social heart of the local community,
the inn hosts live music evenings every Sunday. It is
also an ideal base for discovering the many local
attractions, and the five guest bedrooms all have en suite
facilities, television, phone and hot drinks tray.
