The Visitor Centre
is next to the Pottery in a cobbled courtyard with shops, restaurant and outdoor
play area. It is open daily with activities from plate painting to cookery
demonstrations.
In the museum you can see examples of pieces from Denby's rich heritage on display. A selection of Heritage Ware in the form of
limited editions of Denby animal novelties,
created from original moulds, are made by hand in
the Craftroom and are on sale in reception.
Discover a selection of prints and original paintings by local artists in the Artists
Gallery, and a tempting choice of gifts, jewellery,
cards and home accessories are also available in
the gift shop.
See hand blown glass being created as your guide explains the processes in the Glass
Studio. Tours are available most weekdays for a
small charge and a selection of designs from The Glass Studio are on sale in reception.
Cookery demonstrations and an award winning cookware shop are among the
other attractions, as well as a garden centre
selling seasonal plants and gifts, a Dartington
Crystal factory shop and a restaurant and coffee shop.
