Owned and run by the Steward family, The Briars and Mansard Cottage
are beautifully restored timber-framed 18th century cottages, decorated
and furnished to a very high standard and
retaining many fine period features.
The Briars has three bedrooms (a double, a twin and a single), a bath/shower room, plenty
of living space and full kitchen facilities. Mansard Cottage with one double/twin room, is equally
well appointed. The cottages are ideally placed for exploring the Suffolk coast and countryside
- Ipswich, Lavenham, Sudbury, Long Melford, Hadleigh, Kersey, Cavendish, Bury St
Edmunds, Constable Country and the Heritage Coast are all within easy driving distance. There are lots
of public footpaths around the village offering pleasant walks through woodland and
open countryside.
