The Sawrey Hotel is a superb 18th century inn owned and personally run by
the Brayshaw family. Standing on the B5285 a mile from the Hawkshead Ferry, the
hotel has two fully licensed bars and 18 en suite guest bedrooms. An extensive
selection of food, all freshly prepared and cooked on the premises, runs from
lunchtime bar snacks to a five-course dinner served from 7 to 8.45 (open to
non-residents). The hotel is an ideal place for touring and making the most of
the vast range of activities for which the Lake District is renowned.
