The City Gallery promotes the best in contemporary arts and crafts through a
dynamic and accessible programme of
continually-changing exhibitions in three gallery spaces.
The gallery has an innovative and popular education programme, providing a wide range of interpretive events for schools, colleges
and community groups of all ages. The City Gallery also runs events for the general public
throughout the year, designed for all ages . Please telephone the gallery for the current events programme.
The City Gallery is located in the city centre, near to the main train station
(few minutes' walk). If travelling a distance it
is advisable to phone to check opening hours and for details of current shows.
There is disabled badge parking nearby and level access from the street
to the Main and Craft Galleries. A chairlift is available to the Upstairs Gallery.
A wheelchair accessible toilet with baby changing facilities is also available.
An induction loop system is in the foyer as well as the Main Gallery Minicom on
0116 254 0595.
Opening times: Tuesday to Friday 11am - 6pm, Saturday 10am - 5pm.
Sunday and Monday closed, admission free.
