On the main street of Holbeach, the Bell Hotel is run by the hardworking husband and wife team of Kelvin and Janet Evans. This Elgoods pub dates back some 200 years, and behind the bold yellow frontage the pleasantly appointed interior is a very agreeable place to meet for a drink or a bar meal. Black Dog and Golden Newt are the resident real ales, and the hosts are expanding the choice of straightforward dishes on offer. For guests staying overnight, the Bell has six rooms for B&B. All major credit and debit cards are accepted including Amex. Deep in the heart of the Fens, Holbeach is a pleasing little town with a twice-a-week market.
