Denver Windmill was built in 1835 and continued to grind corn using wind power for over one hundred years until in 1941 the sails were struck by lightning. It has since been lovingly restored to full working order and is now the only working windmill in Norfolk.

Visitor facilities provide the opportunity to explore the whole site with a guided tour going right to the top of the windmill tower. Visitors can see flour being made in the traditional way (wind permitting!) while the visitor centre tells the story of windmills, corn milling, and the people who lived and worked in these wonderful buildings. A tearoom and bakery within the site sells a tempting range of goodies, with bread and cakes baked daily using the mill's own flour.
