Tel: 01527 577983

Much of the earlier history of Bromsgrove can be seen at Bromsgrove Museum, which contains exhibits of the glass, salt and nail industries, and of the Bromsgrove Guild. It also contains an attractive range of shop windows, which feature costumes, toys, cameras and much more. The building is the former Coach House of Davenal House, built in 1780. On the front of the Museum the wrought iron balcony that originally adorned the stationmasters house at Bromsgrove can be seen. It is said that, in 1848, Stephenson, the great engineer, stood on it. The Museum is open Monday to Saturday, 10.30am-12.30pm and 1pm-4.30pm.
