Located off a quiet country road in the heart of
the Ards Peninsula, just a mile from Strangford
Lough and two miles from the Irish Sea coast,
Barnwell Farm Cottages offer top quality self-catering accommodation in a
wonderfully tranquil setting. The original farmstead was built more than 200
years ago and together with the courtyard has been sympathetically restored to
provide 7 self-catering cottages. The use of traditional materials and clever
design has captured the authentic atmosphere of a rural cottage. This, coupled
with a professionally designed quality interior finish, has earned the cottages
a 5-star rating.
The aim of the
proprietors is to provide home-from-home accommodation with tailor-made
arrangements by prior request - including accommodation for your horse or dog.
The facilities include a fully equipped laundry, a games/function room with
table tennis, pool table and more, individual patio areas with patio furniture
and gas barbecues, digital satellite TV and video, dishwashers and microwave
ovens. Games are provided to keep children busy and for the smaller ones, a cot,
high chair, bath and baby alarms are available on site. The cottages sleep from
3 to 7 guests and are all non-smoking.
