Janet Browning and her lovely dog Maisie welcome visitors to
Stone Close Tea Room and Guest House, tucked away in the village
of Dent in one of Cumbria's finest dales. The building started life in the 17th century as
two separate cottages, and it retains many
original features including beams, flagstones and
cast-iron ranges. The tea room is open from 12 to 5
(not Monday or Friday) for a selection of
delicious, imaginative dishes based almost
entirely on organic produce. Janet has three rooms for B&B guests - a twin on the
ground floor and a twin and a double upstairs. |
