Two excellent enterprises based in one establishment,
The Lakes Hotel and Lakes Supertours. Andrew and Marie Dobson's
hotel occupies a handsome mid-Victorian building
that was formerly a bank; it stands in the heart
of Windermere close to the railway and bus
stations. The guest accommodation comprises 10 rooms - doubles, twins and family rooms - all with
en suite facilities and three located on the ground floor.
Tariff is on a Bed & Breakfast basis.
Lakes Supertours is the best and most relaxing way
to see and learn about Lakeland. They offer full- and
half-day tours for small groups that take in all the major
scenic, cultural and historic attractions of the Lakes. Luxury
high-topped mini-coaches have ample leg room and excellent
visibility and are driven by friendly, well-informed driver/guides. There are plenty
of chances for passengers to take a stroll and photograph
the sights. Itineraries include the Complete Beatrix
Potter's Lakeland and Wordsworth Tour, and by coach and boat
to Borrowdale, Buttermere and Ullswater. All tours start
from the hotel forecourt.
