Milburn Grange Holidays are based in cosy
self-catering cottages in the unspoilt Eden
Valley, directly below the Pennines in a designated Area
of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Owners Russell and Debbie have seven superb cottages available all
year round, sleeping from 2 to 7 or groups and
families with up to 29 guests, standing in three acres
of picturesque gardens surrounded by miles of beautiful unspoilt countryside affording glorious
views of the Lake District Fells.
The largest cottages, Fell and Helm, have three bedrooms, with room for a Z-bed for a
seventh person; Brambles, Holly and Stable have two bedrooms; Hayloft Cottage and the Studio
Apartment both have one bedroom. All the
accommodation is centrally heated, with fully equipped
kitchens, comfortable sitting areas and access to
clothes washing and drying facilities, either in
the cottage or in the communal utility room.
The cottages are the perfect base for walking or cycling
holidays, touring the popular centres of the Lake District and
Yorkshire Dales National Parks, Hadrian's Wall or
the Scottish Borders. Alternatively you could relax in the
peaceful rural setting choosing a gentle stroll by the
river or a vigorous hike on the fells; for cyclists, the Pennine and Cumbria cycle ways pass the
gate; fishing is available on the Eden or on local lakes. The historic town of Appleby is less than
ten-minutes drive away, and only another five minutes more to the M6 (J40).
