Set on a working sheep and dairy farm in magnificent countryside,
Braithwaite offers superb Bed & Breakfast accommodation in
two comfortable en suite guest rooms. Situated
behind the village green, it's a tranquil, civilised place
that's made for relaxing and unwinding. The rooms
are handsomely decorated and furnished, and an excellent breakfast gets the day off to a perfect
start. Packed lunches are also available by arrangement. Children are welcome, but Braithwaite
Farm cannot cater for pets.
The combination of outstanding hospitality, great comfort and super breakfasts brings
many guests back to enjoy more of the same, and owners Jenny and Stephen Clark also have a
charming self-catering cottage (Barn House) for up to six guests next to the village pub. The little village
of Braithwaite lies close to Whinlatter Pass and the Forest Park, where visitors can spend the day in
a variety of activities - or just admiring the glorious views. Another unique attraction in the
vicinity is the Lake District Osprey Project set up to protect the nesting birds.
