Location, hospitality, comfort and facilities all
excel at Nith View Guest House, which stands on
the seafront at Silloth, looking over the Solway
Firth and across to the beautiful Scottish hills.
Hosts Garry and Louise Griffiths take justifiable pride in the lovely homely
atmosphere they have created and in the excellent service
and good food they provide. Smartly modernised behind its handsome exterior, the Victorian house
is fully centrally heated and has five guest bedrooms
including a suite, all with private facilities shower and
toilet, TV with Freeview and DVD, and tea/coffee tray.
Cots are available (or guests can bring their
own) and the house has ample off-street parking and
secure storage for bicycles, golf clubs and other items.
Rooms are booked on a Bed & Breakfast basis,
and reductions are available for stays of more than 3 nights. Silloth is a delightful port and family seaside resort
with low rainfall and a mild yet invigorating climate. It's a super place to explore at leisure, and
the hearty Nith View breakfast will set guests up for discovering the many attractions, including
the sandy beaches, the two-mile promenade and the sunken rose garden. It also has a renowned
18-hole championship golf course where the wonderful contralto Kathleen Ferrier learned to play
the game.
