Sue and Liam O'Halloran offer superb self-catering accommodation in the picturesque village
of Dufton, just off the A66, 3 miles from Appleby. Midtown Farmhouse is a spacious grade II
listed traditional Westmorland longhouse. It has
been recently restored to provide luxurious accommodation whilst retaining traditional features such as the huge stone fireplace and
many original beams. The large lounge and kitchen plus
three bathrooms provide ample and well equipped accommodation for six guests, in one double ensuite,
one double and one twin.
Behind the farmhouse stands a converted barn, providing bright and spacious living for four, with
lovely views onto the Pennines. A second barn, to be ready
for 2008, will sleep up to eight. There is off street parking
and private access to each property.
Dufton, on the Pennine Way in the beautiful Eden Valley,
is located in an area that offers both gentle and strenuous
walks and cycling from the doorstep, whilst being rich in historic
and scenic attractions. The Lakes, Yorkshire Dales and
Hadrians Wall are all a short drive away, or you can just relax in
the garden or walk to the pub!
