For the perfect hideaway among some of the finest scenery in Scotland, you can't beat the three
and four star self-catering Airdeny Chalets,
a mile from the village of Taynuilt. The seven
timber chalets have two or three bedrooms, and
come complete with everything you need for a holiday that is as hectic or relaxing as you want.
The chalets are within a small development covering 3.5 acres,
and look up towards the magnificent Ben Cruachan.
The living area in each chalet is open plan, with
armchairs and a sofa which, in the two-bedroom version, converts
into two single beds. Plus there is a television, DVD player and
CD player. The kitchen is well-equipped and linen for the
bedrooms is supplied. Towels, cots and high chairs can be hired by
prior arrangement. For the cooler months, there is heating in
the chalets and double glazing. Electricity is extra and payable at
the end of your stay. There are laundry facilities on site
and, for a small charge, dogs are welcome.
This part of Scotland brims with history and heritage,
and there is a wide choice of activities in the area from golf,
fishing and walking, to bird watching and sailing. The area is
also renowned for its gardens and there so many lovely ones to
visit. Oban and Fort William are within easy reach by car, and
the ferry at Oban can take you across to Mull or the other islands
of the Inner Hebrides.
