Hill Haven offers some of the best accommodation in Wester Ross, and fully
deserves its three-star rating from Visit Scotland. It is
a modern bungalow situated in its own grounds with the
majestic Torridon mountains as a spectacular backdrop. There
are three en suite guest rooms, two doubles and a twin. Each one is cosy and comfortable
- just right for an overnight stay or using as a base for exploring
the area. The tariff includes a hearty breakfast, and each guest
is presented with a courtesy tray on arrival. There is plenty of parking, and easy
access to the A832.
Owners Lilah and David Ford also run West Highland
Hawking, a small company that let's you experience the thrill of falconry. You
don't need to be a falconer to appreciate the beauty and power of these
birds, and anyone over the age of 12 (12-16 years must be accompanied by
an adult) can participate. Why not combine a B&B stay at Hill Haven with
a day spent among wonderful Scottish scenery with beautiful birds of
prey? A day normally runs from 10 am to 4 pm, with prices being
remarkably reasonable. Falconry has sometimes been called the `sport of kings'
and here is your chance, while holidaying in Scotland, to experience
the exhilaration your self! Booking for the falconry must be made in advance.
