Occupying a position of outstanding beauty and tranquillity, the Anchor and Chain Hotel makes the most of its superb location looking out towards Beauly and the Muir of Ord. Its Waterside Restaurant also looks out across the Bay where, depending on the season, diners can watch dolphins playing, ospreys fishing or seals basking. When the weather is favourable, you can also sit out at tables on the spacious lawn which also enjoys the same grand views.

The fully licensed restaurant is open throughout the day for light lunches and an evening menu based on local food - delicious fish from Mallaig, venison from Tarradale and Aberdeen Angus or Black Isle beef, for example. The dining room and all 10 of the bedrooms are all on the ground floor and have only recently been built. All the rooms are en suite with TV, and have been superbly furnished and decorated in varying styles by owners Maura and Peter MacNaughton who have been in the hospitality business for some 40 years, five of them at Coulmore Bay. The front bedrooms command wonderful views over the Bay. Children are welcome and all major credit cards are accepted.
