A truly outstanding restaurant with rooms, The
Anderson is a striking Victorian building with many flamboyant architectural features. But it's
the superb food that brings diners here from far
and wide. Formerly known as The Station Hotel and then the Royal Hotel, The Anderson now takes its name
from the owners, Jim and Anne Anderson. Both had many
years experience in the hospitality business before taking over
here in 2003.
Anne is the Chef and her regular "everyday"
menu includes her famous Black Isle Burger served with bacon
and a thick slice of haggis. But each day, Anne offers an
extensive and exciting choice of daily specials that might include
a Lebanese Falafel Salad or Wild Grouse
Pâté amongst the starters; Acapulco
Red Snapper, Saltimbocca di Vitello or Rabbit, Feta and
Chorizo as main courses. To accompany your meal there's a
huge choice of beers and ales - and a mind-boggling selection
of more than 250 different varieties of single and
malt whiskeys to savour. The restaurant is open every
evening and from noon until 2pm on Saturday and Sunday.
The Anderson also has 9 superb guest bedrooms available,
all with en suite facilities and with lots of character.
