The village of Balloch lies close to the southern shores of Loch Lomond, and it is here that you will find the Anchorage Tearoom and Guest House. As the name implies, it offers both great food and exceptional accommodation to travellers, and is one of the most popular establishments of its kind in the area. The tearoom serves light snacks and breakfasts, teas, coffees and cold drinks, and is open each year from May to September. It seats 20 in comfort, with a further 30 out of doors in the summer months.

The guest house is a picturesque cottage dating from 1886, and has five fully en suite rooms (all on the ground floor) on offer, plus toilet and shower facilities for the disabled. The rooms (one family, one twin and two doubles) are all comfortable and spacious, and the establishment gets many repeat visitors due to the high standards of service and outstanding value for money. The B&B tariff includes a full Scottish breakfast, with lighter options if required. All credit cards with the exception of American Express and Diners are accepted, and children are more than welcome.

There is plenty of parking space, and the cottage can be used either as a stopping off place as you travel north or south, or as a base to explore the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and the countryside surrounding Loch Lomond, surely Scotland's loveliest loch.
