Standing just a few yards from the beach at Llantwit Major,
The Beach Café has been owned and run by the same family for more than 40
years. Today, Maria and David continue the family tradition of providing quality food throughout
the day and giving a warm welcome to all their
customers. The day starts with a selection of breakfasts
served from 9am to 11.45am, followed by a full menu
of delicious home-cooked food based on Welsh
produce. The regular menu is always supplemented by a
choice of daily specials. The café, which has featured in
the S4C television programme Y Pris, is open every day
of the year except Christmas Day from 9am until
10pm in summer, and from 9am to 5pm out of season.
In addition to the 65-seat restaurant, in good
weather customers can also take advantage of the outside patio overlooking
the beach. The café also sells takeaway foods and ice
creams along with confectionery, souvenirs and beach toys.
Maria and David are also happy to take bookings for functions
and parties. The café has good disabled access throughout.
