Visit the Brecknock Museum and learn more about the history, environment and art of
the Brecon Beacons area. Housed in the Old Shire Hall and courtrooms, where you can
see a judge and jury try a historic court case,
the Museum has a fascinating collection that includes antique lovespoons, fine
furniture and paintings, a stage costume that
belonged to the opera singer Adelina Patti, Roman standing stones, natural history and
the ancient logboat from Llangors Lake. There is also an exciting and varied programme
of special exhibitions throughout the year,
including Welsh arts and crafts and items from the Museum's extensive collections.
