If you're looking for excellent cask ales,
home-cooked food and comfortable accommodation, look no further than the
impressive Blue Bell Inn. Established in 1680, this traditional inn
boasts a lot of character and some very handsome features including the large
brickbuilt fireplace and wealth of warm wood panelling. The Blue Bell began life
as a coaching inn along the Dales Way, and the route of that famous walk and the
popular Inn Way pass directly through Kettlewell, making it an ideal touring
base, with numerous other walks, bridleways and mountain biking tracks,
limestone cliffs and caves to explore, and pot holes for keen pot-holers.
The four real ales come from the local Copper
Dragon brewery at Skipton. Meals are served at lunch and dinner in the bar and
dining room, where only the finest ingredients go into creating dishes using
locally-produced meats, trout and cheeses, freshly prepared to order. The six
ensuite guest bedrooms include a family room; two rooms are on the ground floor
and all rooms command marvellous views over the surrounding countryside.
